EDUCATION FOR EXCELLENCE PROGRAMS
Education for Excellence offers the Masterful Parenting Training and Parent Leadership Academy in person or in a blended online course.
MASTERFUL PARENTING TRAINING
For the past 23 years, Education for Excellence has offered the Masterful Parenting Training® to more than 5000 New York City public school parents as well as parents in Los Angeles and Colombia, South America. The 18-hour growth and development program is based on the premise that, as parents, “we teach who we are”. We have found that children thrive in a more loving and supportive home environment created by parents who embody, and teach by example, the principles and life enhancing skills presented in the Training:
- Exercising conscious choices rather than habitual emotional responses
- Taking responsibility instead of blaming others
- Connecting through listening
- Communicating assertively rather than passively or aggressively
- Accepting instead of judging
- Having forgiveness and empathy for oneself and others instead of vengefulness and hatred
- Enhancing self-esteem as a foundation for success and fulfillment at every level
- Recognizing, as a way of Overcoming, stifling beliefs and past conditioning
- Practicing and providing life enhancing nutrition and stress reducing techniques
This course is available in live in-person and online formats.
PARENT LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
In an effort to make the Masterful Parenting Training® available to a significantly larger parent population, Education for Excellence offers the Parent Leadership Academy®, a 30-hour “train the trainer” program that empowers parent support personnel (parent coordinators, social workers, guidance counselors) from schools and organizations to “own” and offer the Parent Leadership Training® in their communities. Graduates of the Parent Leadership Academy have:
- Improved their relationship skills, leadership ability and professional competence.
- Been able to turnkey and skillfully present the Masterful Parenting Training® to parent participants in their local community.
- Gained counseling skills that enable them to support and advise parents more effectively.
This course is available in live in-person and online formats.
